At MVP Academy, we believe that every athlete has the potential to become a leader, both on and off the field. Our 3 F's philosophy – Fish, Fishponds, and Formulas – guides our approach to training and development:

  • Fish (Athletes):

    Just like the fish in Hawai‘i’s loko i‘a (fishponds), our athletes are nurtured and protected as they grow from beginners to strong, capable leaders. We focus on both physical and mental strength to help them thrive.

  • Fishponds (Environment):

    The fishpond represents the supportive environment we provide, much like the ancient kuapā (wall) that sheltered the i'a (fish). Our academy, with its dedicated coaches, facilities, and parents, offers a safe and structured space where athletes can develop their skills and character.

  • Formulas (Process):

    We implement carefully designed training formulas, combining proven methods with innovative approaches. Our tailored processes help athletes build momentum, stay focused, and achieve success through continuous improvement and hard work.

Campus

  • Turf Field

    • More than 20,000 square feet of turf directly from the University of Hawaii's Cooke Field (currently TC Ching Stadium)
    • 60 yards by 40 yards at it's longest and widest points, respectively
    • Turfed Hill at approximately 20 yards in length
    • Professionally installed Trench Drainage system
    • One of only two turf fields on Kauai (PMRF in Kekaha)

  • Weight Room

    • Approximately 1,000 sf in size
    • Capacity Up to 20 Athletes

  • Equipment

    Weight Training Equipment & Field Equipment

    • Run Rocket - Resisted sprint machine that allows athletes to train with less friction and accommodating resistance.
    • Baseball Equipment - balls, nets, screens, training aids
    • Hurdles, Wickets, harnesses, straps, bands, PVC pipes and others
    • Power Rack Stations, Rack Accessories, Barbells, Specialty Barbells, Dumbbells, Kettlebells, Landmine Accessories. Everything needed to get the work done.

  • Batting Cage

    • 60'x12' Batting Cage
    • Cage mounted lights
    • Turfed entirely
